1. How do you get a real estate license?
The first step is by taking this 60-hour, which will make you eligible to take the state licensing exam. After passing the state exam, you will have 90 days to decide whether you want to actively practice real estate or place your license on an inactive status.
If you are not going to practice real estate immediately, you may want to place your license on inactive status, which means it will be held at the Alabama Real Estate Commission until you are ready to active it. If you will immediately begin your real estate practice, then you will need to find a broker to hold your license. Once you have decided on an active or inactive license, you will send in an application that you will receive after passing the state licensing exam. You will be issued a temporary salesperson license.
2. How long will it take me to complete the course?
It is a 60 hour course. However it is up to you as to how quickly you complete it. Because you work at your own pace you are in control of how long it takes to finish. Like I said earlier, we have had some students finish in 1 week
3. Do you have live instruction?
Yes, this is the only online course that also makes live classes available. They are done in a webcast format. The handouts are emailed to you prior to class so that you can print them and make notes during class. If you have questions, you type in the chat window. 9. What is the test like?
The state exam consists of 140 multiple choice questions and it will be administered on a computer at test sites selected by the Alabama Real Estate Commission. The quizzes in the course are very similar to the questions that you will see on the state exam. So they are wonderful preparation for the exam.
10. Will I have trouble finding a job?
