Getting Started in Real Estate

1. Enroll in the 60-Hour Pre-License Course.

You may take the course in one of three ways:

1. Live class via Internet,
2. Self-Paced Training - Recorded and delivered via the Internet
3. or Self-Paced Training via CDROM.

The cost of the course is $350.00.

You have one year to complete the course and you must take a school final and pass with a 70% or better within that year.

2. Interview with Brokers.

You will need to interview with Brokers in order to decide where you are going to place your temporary license once you pass the state exam.

3. Register for the State Exam.

There is an explanation about the registration process in your candidate handbook that you get at the time of registration.

Once you pass the state exam you will go to the Broker you will place your license with and they will send your paperwork into the Alabama Real Estate Commission. You have 90 days to place your temporary license with a Broker.

4. 30-Hour Post-License

Once you get your license back form the Alabama Real Estate Commission you may start your 30-Hour Post-License.

You may take the course in one of three ways:

1. Live class via Internet,
2. Self-Paced Training - Recorded and delivered via the Internet
3. or Self-Paced Training via CDROM.

The cost of the course is $295.00.

Once you complete the course, you must take a school final. You must pass the school final with a 70% or better.

5. Obtain your Real Estate Lisence

Finally, your Broker will send your paperwork into the Alabama Real Estate Commission to obtain your original license.
